Hello my name is Jen and I am the creator/owner behind Prairie Heart + Spark. 

I have been a nurse for the past 20 years but have always been creative since childhood. My interest in graphic design stemmed from the early 90s when I started playing around with web and graphic design on Photoshop (for those early internet years of personal webpages). I continued on with graphic design shifting into personalized wedding invitations + décor then into scrapbooking after the birth of my son in 2007. 

In 2016, the unit I worked on wanted to wear customized apparel so I was in charge of designing the logo & organizing the orders. Since then I have collaborated with other hospital units with their custom apparel. I have always wanted to sell my own creations and so I finally took the leap in February 2021 to start up Prairie Heart + Spark apparel.

'Prairie Heart' stems from being born & raised in the Prairies. 'Spark' represents my creativity and ideas.
